Panasonic UG-Series Laser Toner
Panasonic numbers most of its laser consumables with a UG prefix, and that code is the fastest way to order the right black toner. This section covers cartridges such as UG5510, UG5520 and UG5550, several of which appear in both original and remanufactured builds. If your printer is a multifunction model, the same UG number is usually printed on the inside of the front cover as well as on the cartridge itself.
Choosing a Panasonic Cartridge by Page Yield
Yield figures such as the 10k rating on the UG5550 describe roughly how many pages a cartridge prints at standard coverage, so a heavy text document will draw it down faster than a light one. Picking a higher-yield part cuts down how often somebody has to stop and swap cartridges on a busy machine. Match the yield to your monthly volume rather than to the lowest number on the shelf.
