Brother uses the TN prefix across both its fax machines and its laser printers, so the same numbering style covers TN300HL, TN570 and TN5000PF. A PF suffix marks a fax printing cartridge rather than a printer cartridge. PC Cartridges and Ribbon Refills
Not every Brother fax takes toner. Thermal models use PC-series printing cartridges such as the PC-91, with PC302RF and PC304RF sold as ribbon refills for the cartridge frame you already own.
